CULTURAL CENTRE ISAK
ISAK cultural centre is a centre targeted for youth aged 16 to 25. You will find facilities for practice and experience of culture within most expressions. The vision of ISAK is to front the culture for the youth.
The target youth must themselves contribute to ISAK how they want the centre to appear. ISAK will together with youth build a qualification through participation, dialog, support, activities and of course humour. The centre is meant to be a labyrinth of culture you don't want to exit.
MUSIC AND EXPRESSIONS IN ARTS
Both ISAK and the café, Coffee Annan, has a stage, which is used for several arrangements such as rock concerts, theatre and more. The diversity is significant. A lot of theatre and dance groups practice regularly at the centre, but its also possible for other people to access the facilities on a regularly basis or just on impulse. Also martial arts have been an element in periods. ISAK's objective is to have a cultural multitude.
IMAGE AND FILM During daytime the centre offers teaching in music technology. In the evenings its possible for people who are interested in working within areas of music, film, photography and graphic design to use the premises and equipment or your own or with cunning instructions. The media workshop offers professional video editing with or without supervising. And you can exhibit your own video/film production in our cinema, RA III. You will also find a photo room with the possibilities of developing black & white photographs in the darkroom. The art studio/atelier is hired out six months at a time for young artists. The studio has capacity for approximately 10 people simultaneously. It is also possible to exhibit artwork such as paintings, photography, installations and more.
ISAK CULTURAL FACTORY
ISAK cultural factory is a project within ISAK where young people can come and learn about music technology, film, graphic designs and more. They can get help through all phases of the creative process, such as creating ideas, planning, accomplishment and public presentation.
In the basement is a demo studio, which is a no cost alternative for recording music for young people within ISAK's target group. Youth who are interested can be offered tutorials in studio technique, live sound and lighting and can thereby assist at concerts and the several happenings held at ISAK.
CLASSES/COURSES ISAK host several courses. Guitar, singing, flamenco, cartoon and theatre classes are examples of what’s being offered.
HIRING ISAK hire out offices to organizations and cultural traders who contributes with diversity in the environment.
The cultural center ISAK is owned and driven by the Municipality of Trondheim, the cultural department.
